A traveling amusement company on a tight fair circuit. Twenty-plus dates from June through Labor Day. A brand-new ride making its debut. And every one of those events had to be filled at the gate before the next town on the schedule.
That was the assignment when we took on the summer 2026 social media program for Dreamland Amusements, one of the largest family-owned amusement operators on the East Coast. Facebook and Instagram had to sell tickets, drive presales, promote the Ai ride reveal, and keep the fair circuit visible to families across New York, New England, and beyond.
The Approach
We built the program around three moving parts:

Evergreen Reels That Live for MonthsThe best summer Reels keep pulling views weeks after they drop, so we prioritized short, hook-forward content shot at the fairs themselves: Zipper spins at night, first-timer POV rides, and midway sights. Content that keeps compounding on the same ad account.
Event-Tied Campaigns With Hard DeadlinesEvery fair got a countdown series: opening day, midweek reminder, last-chance push, and closing-day recap. Every campaign carried one specific call to action and was measured on how it moved that specific window.
Targeted Paid AmplificationFacebook and Instagram ads were geo-fenced to each fair's home region, tuned to families with children in the right age range, and rotated between presale graphics, ride-reveal Reels, and last-chance video. Ad spend followed the fair calendar—not a flat monthly schedule.
The Numbers
A four-week snapshot from the peak of the summer circuit—early August through Labor Day—shows what the mix produced:

- Ai Ride Night reveal: 365 reactions and 58 shares—the highest reaction-to-view ratio of the summer.
- Schaghticoke Fair Flash Sale: 70+ shares on a single closing-day post, one of the season's highest share counts.
- Altamont Fair presale Reel: 35,600 views compounded across multiple reporting weeks.
- Peak week: Instagram organic performance increased 71% week over week.
Why It Worked
The pattern showed up over and over: Reels that told a specific story about a specific fair outperformed generic amusement content by four to five times. A Zipper at night. An Ai ride reveal. A last-chance flash sale with real urgency. The audience is not looking for polish—they are looking for a reason to bring the kids out this weekend.
The paid layer amplified that pattern in the right ZIP codes at the right time. Instead of running ads all month at the same tempo, we scaled spend up in the two-week window before each fair and pulled back once the gates closed. That cut wasted impressions and made the paid dollars work harder in the exact moments that matter for a traveling operator.
What This Means for Your Business
What we did for Dreamland is the same pattern that works for any Long Island business with real events, real deadlines, or real seasonal windows—fairs, festivals, restaurant openings, retail promotions, and hospitality peak seasons. The rules do not change:
- Build a library of evergreen content that keeps working for months.
- Time the paid layer to the moments that actually drive revenue.
- Give every post one clear call to action, not five.
- Measure what worked, cut what did not, and reinvest the difference.
